Welcome to the first EQ72 newsletter!

We are stoked to announce that our business, EQ72, has been making great progress since its launch in February 2023.
Allow me to introduce myself - Lisa Cousins. I moved to Oropi with my family eight years ago, though I am originally from Rotorua. Prior to that, I spent 26 years living in Sydney, Australia, where I met my husband, my two step sons and where our daughter was born. During my time in Sydney, I worked for one of the largest retailers in the southern hemisphere, specializing in Logistics management for 17 years. However, as time went on, my husband and I realised that the corporate world did not align well with our desire for a balanced work-life dynamic.

It was during a visit to see my family back here in New Zealand that we stumbled upon Tauranga, we instantly knew it would be the perfect place to call home. Six months later, we'd sold our house in Sydney, left our jobs, and crossed the ditch to start a new chapter in our lives.

Our Love of Horses
Horses have always held a special place in my heart, a passion inherited from my late father. It brings me so much satisfaction watching my daughter, Tori, sharing the horse-loving vibe alongside me. It's like a total soul-ride of happiness. We've built an awesome crew of friends who have become our tight-knit horse-loving family. Our weekends are all about living life to the fullest with free-spirited rides, thrilling hunts, and cheering our kids on at shows. It's more than just a joyride—it's a true happiness boost, knowing we're raising amazing humans along the way.

The EQ72 Vision
The decision to establish EQ72 stemmed from a variety of reasons. Many of my friends, as well as myself, found it challenging to find the time to visit the feed store due to our busy schedules. Additionally, the service provided by my local feed supplier left much to be desired. These experiences, coupled with my aspiration to offer high-quality products that deliver on their promises, prompted me to create EQ72. Moreover, I wanted to provide an educational platform to enhance our customers' knowledge about caring for their four-legged companions. 

Convenient Options
We have two convenient options for you to get your hands on our products: click and collect from our Oropi property or home delivery. We're often at a lot of the show jumping events around Tauranga and the Bay so if you'd like a delivery during at one of these events, just give us a heads up beforehand, and if we're there too, we'll take care of it for you—completely free of charge! Consider it our way of adding a little extra convenience to your event experience!.

BLEEPER WENT VIRAL!! We recently shared a reel that will melt your heart featuring the adorable Bleeper, a baby deer who became an instant sensation. Bleeper is the beloved pet of Caroline Sutherland from Whakatane. During a recent horse trial with Caroline, Bleeper stole the show and provided us with some incredible entertainment. As she gracefully weaved around the horse in the arena, it was a perfect demonstration of how safe and trustworthy the horse truly is. Little did we know, our video would skyrocket to 243k views on TikTok and receive 31k likes. The Facebook numbers were equally impressive! If only we could convert those views into dollars, we'd be grinning from ear to ear. It's a gentle reminder that the world craves and adores those moments of cuteness that warm our hearts.
